Projects are sold preferably via direct individual sales of homes to private individuals, to the tenant in residence, or - if there's no tenant - to a third party.
An entire building complex is sometimes also sold, in a rented state. This takes place via a tender process. In such cases, the procedures followed are strictly regulated and very transparent. Besides screening potential candidates in order to obtain the most accurate possible information about their financial status and the origin of their capital, the reputation of a candidate as a “responsible landlord” is an important factor in determining which candidate may purchase the project. The IVBN code of behaviour and an anti-speculation provision required by Vesteda are part of the terms and conditions of sale. Of course, all rental agreements in place remain valid.
